I have a friend, Johnny Blackbird,  who makes beaded story hat bands. They are beautiful in design and each has a unique story of spirit and journey.  He just recently posted a blog giving the meaning of the different designs and their placement on the hat bands. I found this so interesting as the choices we make and how we conduct ourselves sets the course with which we navigate our life journey. Johnny’s hat bands tell stories of spirit, energy and the path we travel.  A journey of courage, strength and dignity.

Aho Grady. The spirit animal while the focus of the hat band, my newer ones are all about the journey. The path we travel, the energy and how we all need good medicine in order to leave the illusion and touch the stars with balance, dignity and humility.

Yet another outstanding Story Hat Band created by my friend, Johnny Blackbird. Each one comes with a unique story and design. I particularly love this Story Hat Band because it speaks of Split Spirit. Step inside his blog – Mystery, front and center and take a look at his exquisite work. I have two of his Story Hat Bands.. My spirit sings when I wear them.. each one different in color and design yet both speak of courage, strength, energy and spirit. All good medicine to help me on my journey here and beyond.

Not just thunder

A friend of mine makes the most beautiful hat bands. Each one with its own unique story, color and design. Well worth taking a look at his website!

Aho my friends. I hope you are all well and your path is treating you with kindness. This newest hat band concentrates on the mystery, star energy and our great thunder bird. On each side of the hat band is the mystery. Represented with a black background and a bright, powerful energy star in the center. Strong energy radiates in the form of fire arrows. The bright feathers that guide the energy, one to the thunder bird and the other to our medicine. The energy is funneled to the shaft that represents our red road. The arrow shafts are bordered with sun on the top and moon below on one road with it being reversed, like day becomes night, on the other arrow. This story is all about balance. When the back is closed a medicine wheel is formed. Spirit travels down the road and away from the illusion, past…
